Designed by Gwen Krieger of Blue Hat Studio for an Italian family that loves to cook and entertain, this new build home is located in the heart of Toronto’s High Park neighborhood and features two Scavolini Toronto kitchens - a showstopping ultra-modern, all-black open-concept primary kitchen, and a second a hidden kitchen which serves as both a bar and pasta sauce making station in the downstairs. In addition, a stunning hotel-grade luxury master bathroom provides a serene spa-like oasis.

In this home you’ll meet the ‘little black dress’ of kitchens –  sophisticated, minimalist, timeless, and ready to act as both the backdrop for entertaining or a relaxing family night in. With multiple hidden prep-stations and a sleek pull out pantry, this primary kitchen reveals a beautifully functional entertaining space, but leaves the behind the scenes prep work to guests’ imaginations. Every detail has been meticulously integrated throughout the heart of the home space, including custom candle-like lighting illuminating pathways, a custom wine cellar, and a living space where the color black is used as a neutral.

Here, neutral is anything but boring. Featuring matte black LiberaMente cabinetry by Scavolini Toronto and stainless steel appliances by Gaggenau, this open concept kitchen reveals a dramatic all-black island clad in gorgeous honed granite, a textured ‘licorice’ black porcelain backsplash, all-black hardware, inset handles, profiles and toe kicks, and a sleek pantry tucked away.

There’s even a pasta sauce making station. Downstairs, the home’s second Scavolini Toronto kitchen was designed as both a functional bar and the ideal station for the homeowners to craft their homemade Italian pasta sauce. Here, the same LiberaMente cabinets found in the main kitchen are combined with wheat oak natural veneer Scavolini cabinets to add additional warmth.

Finally, the primary bathroom acts as a serene, spa-like getaway with his and hers sinks.
